Your books are worth hardcover prices.  Even in the tiny little barely-an-inch-thick
hardcovers that Dragon and Issola used.

If you must feel guilt in this manner, write longer manuscripts such that the 
hardcovers contain even more of your wonderful writing.  (Yet you must do this 
without taking substantially longer per-novel.  Or reducing editorial quality.
A quandrary, this is.)
