Wow, mileage sure varies. I thought _Lord Demon_ was fine, perfectly enjoyable, but nothing remarkable. _Donnerjack_, however, I loved, and regard fondly as a fitting farewell. Perhaps I should also say that while I like both Amber series, neither strikes me as either great or Zelazny at his best. - tky
