I have a couple questions for Steve, if he would be so kind to share his vision: 1. We know that metal attracts magic, which is why there isn't anyone wearing heavy armor, etc. Why does everyone use swords and we rarely hear any mention of wooden weapons? 2. In _Dragon_ we see the first use of bows or crossbows, and Vlad has no idea what they are. Is there some honor thing that we don't understand that allows them to be used in warfare, but not on the streets? Also I remember in _Phoenix Guards_ (or 500YA) that a guard was shot with "a bolt" in the streets. So were bows/crossbows invented recently? Centuries ago? Is Vlad just ignorant? I like the setting created when there aren't any long-range weapons, it creates a more cloak-and-dagger type feel. But doesn't it seem like a crossbow is something Vlad would go for? 3. Is the game of S'yang stones based on a real game and do you have rules for it? I created my own dice game trying to match as many of the clues given in the books as possible. If you made up some rules, I'm just wondering how closely I came... 4. I know that Vlad doesn't understand Psychics that well, but are there any general principles that you can tell us? What CAN it do, what CAN'T it do, and so forth? 5. Is Elder Sorcery very different from normal Sorcery, or is it just mostly learning how to do it without the Orb? Thanks, Tysen ===== Outside of a dog, a deck of cards is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to play bridge. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
