I try very hard not to correct other people's grammar.  But it really 
irritates me when someone "corrects" my grammar when I'm right.  I have 
been bitched at about my (admittedly stubborn) use of the generic "he."  I 
have said, "I'll make a deal with you--I won't complain when you make 
grammatical errors, if you won't complain when I speak correctly."
