Ummm.  "Nude" is an adjective.  Denude means "to render something into a
nude condition."  By this analogy, "dethaw" would mean "to render
something into a thaw condition," which is nonsense, because thaw is a
verb.

The prefix de- is not the same one as in de-ice.  It has a different
origin and meaning here.
