The GT folk (whom I count as among the most generally computer
literate I know), have had this debate at least twice. The list owner
doesn't really care, so he took a vote both times that I know of.
Both times, the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of doing two things:
1) set Reply-To to the list
2) add the following two lines at the top of each e-mail
{#} Replies are directed back to gt-pfrc at gt.org
{#} To reply to the author, write to [original sender information]
Personally, I'm with the 'anything that gets in the way of discussion
is a bad thing for this type of list' - many people using e-mail do
not have, for whatever reason, much choice in the e-mail client they
use. And there are a lot of stupid e-mail clients out there.
