Oh, you mean you didn't write your afterward? No, no, no, this cannot be, it
mustn't be so... <feeling weak, losing strength, lights dimming, thoughts
more difficult than usual, *holding back of palm to head as eyes narrow and
consciousness lost*> or in the alternative <rolling my eyes and giggling my
head off>. :) :) :)

Here, I'll correct myself, is this better?

>Oh, I bet by including that afterward the esteemed author is just doing the
>"Wordsworth" thing with the "preface to Excursion"...

(no, no this isn't right...this is more how the books begin in Paarfi's
voice... not right a'tall okay this then...)

>Oh, I bet by including that afterward the esteemed author is just doing the
>"Blake" thing with his various works on "Milton"...

(no, no, this doesn't work either, Blake wrote verse, even when he was
writing on how Milton wrote...though I think the author here might rather
enjoy being placed in the same regard as Milton and Ms. Hayden that of
Blake...and well, using "Excursion" above, there again we see Milton's
influence... hummm well I seem to be at a loss with my comparisons so I
think I'll ponder it further and in the meantime use the following:

Oh, I bet by including *that* afterward the esteemed author is just doing
the "Lovecraft" thing, sort of like what Lovecraft did with "Notes on
Writing Weird Fiction". Saying to all of us wee-people "Go ahead, try to
write like me. I dare you. No, no, I insist, give it a try, it’s not that
hard *for me* <smirking>. Here, I’ll even give you a hand, I’ve give you an
*idea* of how to do what you desire to do, to develop my *voice*... <evil
laughing.> [and then...] See there, I told you so, I told you, you’ll just
never get it, you’ll never understand...you cannot develop my voice you have
to develop your own...and what’s more, I didn’t even write what I gave you,
it was just an *idea* ... see, I never said you couldn’t disagree with me, I
just said it was foolish...what's more is you’re no daisy, you’re no daisy
at all... *shaking his head*." )

Better?
