That's what I was going to point out...in _that_ respect, the end result is largely the same. Messages disappearing isn't a problem with my e-mail. If I get busy and end up not reading the list for a while, it just piles up in the folder I've set aside for it. Hmm. As a matter of fact, amongst other lists, I have around ~2000 unread messages. :) The main reason I prefer lists to newsgroups is the "push" vs. "pull". I live in e-mail already, so having things come to where I already live is advantageous to me. For others, I can see newsgroups being more convenient, depending on the individual situation. :) As long as it doesn't create a problem, I think it'd be great if the list was offered both ways (list and newsgroup).
