You were warned. In the title, even.
So anyhow. We know that BEFORE the Interregnum Sethra Lavode was alive. We
know that AFTER the Interregnum, she was dead -- or more precisely, undead.
Furthermore, we know that she had something to do with A) getting the Orb
out, B), sending the Orb to the Paths, and C) getting Aliera out of Dragaera
City, albeit not physically. Therefore, here is my chain-of-events.
1) Adron screws up.
2) Sethra works on a teleport, grabbing Aliera, Mario, herself, and the Orb.
3) Sethra does not -completely- succeed. To wit:
A) Mario is successfully sent out of Dragaera City.
B) Aliera's SOUL is sent out, but not her body.
C) Sethra winds up in the Paths of the Dead, with the Orb and Aliera's
body.
4) Sethra is living, but in the Paths of the Dead. She:
A) gives over Aliera's body to her mother Verra, and
B) turns the Orb over to the Lords of Judgement.
5) Sethra is told that she screwed up mightily, and wasn't supposed to die
yet. So
6) The Lords kick Sethra out, now as undead, telling her to get back to work.
7) Some time after the Disaster, Sethra Lavode returns to Dzur Mountain as
undead.
After all, it'd take something major like the Disaster to 'kill' Sethra, and
this is the simplest theory that fits all the facts.
