While I don't agree with purposfully saying you don't believe the author, I will suggest an idea that ought to make you people who want there to be a connection happy. Just because Brust says the name thing was unintentional, doesn't mean they aren't the same person. Perhaps he intends for Orlaan to change into Loraan when s/he becomes undead. However, he didn't want it to be that obvious yet, so thought that making those names so close to one another was a mistake. However, I'm still holding out for the complete different people theory. (partially because I didn't make the connection myself) Jag
