When the four musketeers, excuse me, I mean the four heroes of the book join the Guard, they are each partnered with an experienced Guard and sent to do a patrol. During her patrol, Tazendra flirts with a Hawklord (a count or a duke). Her partner makes some rude remarks and they fight. I suspect that the Hawklord is none other than Paarfi, in his dreams at least! I have a few other wild theories too but not about Paarfi. I really need to get another copy of _Phoenix Guards_.
