In re the 2001 novel --

Clarke wrote the novel solo, but it was based on Kubricks screenplay.
There were various differences between the two.  Some were due to changes
Kubrick made to the screenplay after Clarke did the novelization, and
some were Clarkes own changes.

So while Kubricks name doesn't appear on the novel, it's definately a
collaboration at some level.
