There was a real world version once upon a time. Steven's mom used to make
some of her own liquours, usually serving them over ice cream. I have vague
memories of our eventually blundering into something both of us agreed
deserved the title; however, the ingredient list and process is lost unless
Steven has it. If I had to guess, I'd bet that one of Jean's and/or some
obscure Hungarian import were in it. In terms of taste, what I remember is
that it would evaporate on the tongue, leaving little to swallow, had a
wonderful taste, and packed a huge, deceptive wallop. I'm pretty sure that
while Steven, John Robey and I drank the vast majority of it, Kathy
Marschall, Dave Messer, and Jean Messer Monard also had some. If Steven is
not forthcoming, perhaps you could try asking one of them.
