But in looking at the list of authors that I sent out (and could send out a third for the last few that I missed) I've found that I'm reading much darker fiction than I have in perhaps 10-15 years. And not the angst-y type either. But certainly sexually dark, emotionally trying, intellectually challanging for retrospection. Makes me wonder. I do know that the return to college has spurred on interst again in the craft of writing, and the profs tend to like a 32 year old student in with all the 20 year olds. When you can look at the instructor and say, "Shibboleth, I love that word, I can't remember the last I saw it used." David
