This is certainly true.

I have heard this claim and have investigated it, quite a bit.  Frankly, I 
think that this is nothing less than blatant (and hopeful) revisionism.  
There is no credible evidence, that I've seen, that Mileva Maric made any 
major contributions to the theory as it was eventually published.  Certainly 
there is no indication, from her own publications, that she was anywhere 
near the league that Einstein, himself, was in.
