IIRC correctly, the writer of that movie ended up driving his SUV into the front window of a building and when the police or paramedics went to pull him out he was foaming at the mouth and trying to slit his throat with a piece of glass. I think he did end up dying in the crash. Great, great movie. Creepy as all hell, and massively full of all sorts of subtle shots and commentary. David
