I once believed that I had never read a Glen Cook book I hadn't liked. The "two decades" is unfair, of course. For about one of those two decades, he essentially quit writing, as his day job had changed, taking up all the free time he had once given to his writing. The "Black Company" novels did extend rather far beyond his original intention, of course, but I believe that with _Soldiers Live_, they are now done.
