> > I put Glen Cook in that category. C'mon Glen, you've been rehashing the > same Black Company book for two decades. > I've got to point out a few things here, even though I agree with the black company quip. It has been the same book for damn near five years. I can't even bring myself to read the last one and it's sat on my shelf for damn near over a year. However, Glen has done some amazing work with his private detective character. the main reason for it being the sarcastic spin he puts on Garrett along with the superb list of supporting characters. So while the whole black company series seems to be winding into oblivion, the Garrett series continues to get quite strong. And I have to add that 'The Silver Spike' was one of the best books I ever read. I heartily reccomend it to anyone on the list. It's on a par with Issola, that's how good it is. (Minor Spoiler... If you have read any of the Black Company books... you will be STUNNED by what he does with some of the characters in this book.) Scott
