Mark,

Your implication is that the bond between a GW and it's owner is so
intimate that it might eliminate the desire for or complicate romantic
attachments with others. Possibly, but...

Consider the source. Vlad has only had contact with 3 GW owners, Sethra,
Aliera, and Morrollan. What about others? And even within this cadre he
does know: 1. We don't know anything, really, about Sethra 2. Aliera
just recently came back from the Paths. (And she has something going with
Mario. Although, you might refute that by saying that the relationship
started before acquiring Pathfinder <I think that last is correct. It's
been a while since I read FHYA>) 3. Vlad didn't even know Morollan had a
coven of witches or that Lady Teldra was M's high priestess. More intimate
details of M's life are still unknown to Vlad.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you said but there's still a lot we
don't know.

Mike
