I've always looked at it like the soul was not impervious to everything, though usually it is to physical attacks. That the soul itself though not living like flesh is an entity that can be destroyed and a morganti weapon just has the ability to pierce the soul and not just the body of the victim, thus killing the soul. I think this is amplified in situations where we know morganti was used and somehow the soul was not destroyed, in the case of Aliera we know it was because of her GW protecting her soul I think from the piercing explicitly, etc. > > >[4] Tangent five: Are there Morganti weapons that are not sword-shaped?
