I remember that because she pointed out > the irony that the current wielders of the GWs use them on the side of > the Gods and against the Jenoine. Not to my recollection. The Serioli made the Morganti weapons to make war so bad they would no longer have them (which worked, for the Serioli). They made the GWs to counter the Gods, whom they are pissed at because the Gods took over their world. Now, the Serioli view the Jenoine, perhaps not as "friends", but as "enemies of my enemy", and so won't mind helping out the Jenoine if they can, and if they believe it will help them to get rid of those bully gods. The irony is that, though the Serioli made the GWs to use against the Gods, the GWs are also the only reliable weapon to use against the Jenoine. So, instead of the GWs being used against the Gods, they are used to protect the Gods and the world against the Jenoine. This is, at least, what I recall from all of the books up to this point. I'm sure Steve knows something he's not telling us (yet) and we'll discover a new line of reasoning in later books. Chris
