Having had one *horrible* domain-name experience (Featureprice), I feel I can offer at least one word of advice: if there's any doubt in your mind about a potential host, make sure to register the domain name with someone OTHER than the web hosting company. Featureprice did both for me, but when they went under, it was extremely difficult to get my domain name back and transferred to a new provider. That said, for the past 8 months I've been with TotalChoiceHosting.com, which sounds like a cheesy name, but they've been absolutely rock-solid and fantastic for me: no downtime that I've seen, and very fast, and good package plans. (They even have a nice web board where customers can help each other out with html and scripting advice, not to mention a 24-hour support presence.) I'm registered through GoDaddy.com for the domain name; they've also been great so far, but that's a lot harder to mess up. :) Whatever you do, stay away from Featureprice and its associate ixwebhosting! -Nancy.
