Vlad Taltos: Casting Call

Wed Oct 8 07:31:09 PDT 2003

I had suggested awhile back that I thought that Johnny Depp might be a great
choice. He can be clever, tortured, merciless, comic, and (most of all)
smart, all without saying a word. He's an understated, under-rated actor
who just now seems to be getting his due. I think the best thing about him
is that you get the feeling that you never really know exactly what he's
thinking. That air of "wheels within wheels" would work well for Vlad, imo.

"Almost any act of (creative) expression is an act of courage. Whenever you
write (something) and you show it to someone else, it's an act of courage
because it's your life, it's who you are and you're laying it out on the
table and you're either going to be rejected or accepted."
