I had suggested awhile back that I thought that Johnny Depp might be a great choice. He can be clever, tortured, merciless, comic, and (most of all) smart, all without saying a word. He's an understated, under-rated actor who just now seems to be getting his due. I think the best thing about him is that you get the feeling that you never really know exactly what he's thinking.
