I found this by wandering through Eric Partridge's ORIGINS, the "bet you
can't look up just one" etymological dictionary. I started with "mole," my
favorite four-letter word, and was taken to "mouldiwarp," then "vervain," then
"verse"--all language aspires to the condition of poetry, I guess.
Anyone remember what classic work(s) of fantasy feature(s) a Mouldiwarp?
