This may be pararectal, but I recall a line from Vlad to the effect that
people will reincarnate if not sent over Deathsgate, but if sent over
Deathsgate may either stay in the land of the dead or reincarnate
depending on whether they get stuck in the Paths, the whim of the gods,
etc. Of course, I'm not sure that what Vlad says is even worthwile
as evidence when it comes to something this abstract.
