Since my Apple II which I purchased in 1979 and modified extensively, 
the only computer I needed to modify was a PC. That was because it 
didn't come with anything! All I have ever added to a Mac was RAM and 
an airport card. I use my firewire and USB ports for everything else I 
need (scanner, printer, palm pilot, etc)
