Certainly the Necromancer tells Vlad > (_I_, pg. 253, hc), "Morganti weapons shouldn't frighten you as much." I got the impression that a GW can (and will, if possible), act to protect its wielder from soul-munching by absorbing said soul into itself. An assassin could still stab Vlad with a morganti blade and prevent him from being revived within the specified time limit. So (in my opinion anyway), he need not fear having his soul eaten, but he certainly should be concerned about the subtle knife. Which raises another question...what happens if the body belonging to the wielder-soul inside a GW passes the time limit? Is the soul trapped in the GW ala Aliera in her staff?
