Hm, I was thinking along those very lines. It seems clear in _Phoenix_ that from Northport to Greenaere you sail pretty much away from the mainland. On the other hand, Greenaere is "between Northport and Elde Island", and Elde is right next to the coast in LoCB. So I wonder, is this like sailing from Miami (Northport) to Trinidad (Elde) with a stop at Cuba (Greenaere)? Or is a spell with the upgraded Orb going to get out of hand in _Sethra Lavode_, drowning all the land from Northtown to Elde Island except the Greenaere Hills? Anyway, I don't think the Northport-Greenaere-Elde region can look the way it does on your map, Bryan. For one thing, if Greenaere is so close to the coast, why doesn't Vlad teleport to the closest point, or at least think about it? For another, I'm pretty sure you have to sail out of sight of land to get >from either Adrilankha or Northpot to Greenaere. > And what *is* up with that Maelstrom that gets mentioned in /Phoenix/? It would be nice to find out. It's between the Spindrift Lands and, uh, something. ... -- Jerry Friedman __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
