Sethra was, uhh, busy.  I don't know what the others should have done.

Perhaps.  I'm skeptical about using witchcraft.  Using sorcery would not
necessarily be quick - there was presumably a large area to search - all
of Dragaera.

Also note that the operation was set up under extreme time pressure.

I don't think Vlad would like them as much if they weren't smart - nor

This the Necromancer and I can just ascribe to Vlad having Teldra on his
hip.
