Dumbest Case of Spoiler Spacing

While the topic of spoiler spacing is being bandied about, I'm reminded of
the absolute dumbest case I've ever seen of a group trying to enforce
it. Back in the old days of the Internet (say around '92-'93), I was
following various Usenet newsgroups and remember people on the newsgroup
for The Prisoner being militant about not revealing spoilers about a TV
show that had ended 25 years earlier. I nearly blew a gasket.

As for this group, I'd say that we should have spoiler space for any new
book until it's been out in paperback for a year. After that readers of
this list would just have to accept that this is a discussion group for
Brust readers and if you haven't caught up, then you might get spoiled.
