Of course, this sent me off to find the afterword for Paths of the Dead and Lord of Castle Black, only to realize that neither contains an afterward written by Paarfi. Then I realized that this could refer to tPG and 500YA, but I don't have those readily to hand to check. I am resolved to check as soon as I locate them. Unfortunately, "the other two books" could still refer to the first two volumes of Viscount, thus answering the question eliptically (Paarfi quotes or paraphrases no one in the first two books, therefore...). Clearly, I shall be forced to locate the first two Paarfi books before I am driven insane trying to decipher this explanation. -- Matthew Hunter (matthew at infodancer.org) Public Key: http://matthew.infodancer.org/public_key.txt Homepage: http://matthew.infodancer.org/index.jsp Politics: http://www.triggerfinger.org/index.jsp
