I'd love this too, though I actually rather enjoy the way he doesn't
describe them.  It feels more immersive - it's natural for Paarfi or
Vlad to skip descriptions of things that are just assumed in their
world.  I always find it odd when a first person story has
descriptions of things that should just be understood.

I've always assumed that a kethna is something like a pig - they make
sausages out of them, raise them on farms and such.  I'm AFB, but I
seem to remember that the Society of the Porker Poker was founded
after an incident with one, the description of which, together with
the resulting name is yet more reason to think "pig".
