In this week's New Yorker, which I can't recommend too highly, there's an
essay about P.G. Wodehouse.  The writer's uncle had a complete set (some
92 volumes) of the Master's works upstairs and one downstairs.

He describes an incidence of close reading which should make SKZB happy
that we're all pikers.
