Ah! I must say, although I'm not as conversant with all the SF works
on the '60s as many of your are, I really don't think that it's
possible to ever discount Dune. Dune was a simply fantastic work,
interweaving philosophy, politics, ecology, with a gripping story to
top it off. I don't think it's possible to talk about '60's SF without
mentioning Dune, which, if anyone cares to note, shared the Huge Award
('66) with ...And Call me Conrad by Zelazny (also published as This
Immortal).
