Trevor asked me to forward this and I haven't seen a resend. My apologies
if this is now a duplicate post.

Ah,... politics. :)

Actually, I think it is. I'm trying to recall the
incident where Vlad nailed the stoolie at his
mistress's. Now, I can't recall if he couldn't hit him
at home because he was hiding under impersial
protection or because of the rules.

Could someone enlighten me?

But it's become a matter of FACE to the Jhereg. Vlad
Taltos, the easterner son-of-a-kethna who manage to
turn in a high ranked Jhereg to the Empire, toss
another to Greenare <sp?> for a nice beheading and
then walked into Valabars like nothing happenned.

At the very least, he'll have his Baronacy <or
whatever his title was> stripped. But that is a slpa
on the wrist given what the empress gave him.

Touche! Admittedly, this is on a lower scale and
there were mitigating circumstances with fealty to the
empire.

And he had a point. And not to disagree, but I wonder
how that would be interpretted by the
populous/organization as a whole?
