Off topic - grammar question

The French solve the problem with "Entrée libre". I support your first
(hyphenated) version. You could always avoid the issue with a more friendly
and verbose sign that says, "Please come in and browse", or whatever is
appropriate for your business. Walking in to a website is difficult to
envision, at least for me!
