Well, that is why I put the word in quotes.  I'm 
sure it's not on the level as, say, a certain Enchantress's
"extracurricular activities", but to the left, I'd just
as soon not spoil (oh, all right, 'not again spoil') a
new reader's possible revelation.  I have to keep
reminding myself of the damn thing, actually.  Which proves
the subtlety of our esteemed author, I think....

I'd be interested in seeing a compiled list of the little
bits Brust tosses into his books, but I feel the task would
be futile.  We'd never find them all. <grin>
