I know a Tennessean who cannot pronounce these words without their 
sounding exactly the same. As both a non-native speaker of English and a 
musician, I can usually grab on to slight pronunciation nuances to 
distinguish words, but not in this case; it sounds as if she's using the 
same word for both. It's very amusing.
