President George Bush (The Dad) understood things better. Bogeymen are useful. When there's an obvious bogeyman close at home, it's hard to target the U.S. as the #1 enemy. Sure there were humanitarian reasons for overthrowing Saddam, but with that bogeyman gone, the Muslim world found another one.
