My views on this has changed over the last few years. I, too, have met a few BDSMers who are completely reasonable, hadn't had childhood traumas or psychological issues, and are perfectly happy. On the other hand, I've known some who have serious issues and refuse to examine them. There are, of course, exceptions to every rule, group, catagory, etc. It's the way of it.
