It's an exclamation of fond exasperation: Some people's sweeties! There's a Latin word "culus" which means something like "bottom" - but now that I think of it there's also the diminutive "-culus". Distinguishing between the two is way beyond my reading comprehension, though. Any non-illiterate Latin readers, please chime in.
