It's not necessarily "wrong" and it's not even "different".  I'm on
lists that do things both ways.

Personally, I prefer other methods simply because I tend to reply to
the list instead of to the individual poster by default.  For this
post, I clicked "Reply To All", wiped out the sender, wiped out the
CC: address, and copy / pasted dragaera at dragaera.info up into the To:
field.  That's a fair bit of rigamorole just to send to one place, but
it's a known procedure, and I lurk far more than I post.

List regulars likely prefer things the way we've always done it.

I wouldn't mind have [DRAGAERA] up in the Subject Header to make it
easier to sort, but I can live with it the way it is.  ymmv.
