>Also somewhere while in the paths, unless my memory is wrong (which is >very possible), doesn't Vlad ask if Morrolan remembers the way >through? I know he asked about the book the he was supposed to >memorize, unless when Zerika went, they went the way the Pheonix is >supposed to go. I could swear Morrolan expressed a few momories. Nope. I got started on a re-read of the series recently and just finished Taltos last night. I think what you're remembering here is the conversation where Morollan is deciding on which way to go and tells Vlad that he might have been better off going without him. The reason being that each House has its own paths to the Paths, so to speak. Sethra was a Dzurlord (whether she was born into that house or not). By virtue of that and probably also by virtue of just being Sethra she would have given Vlad different paths to follow than those Morollan, being a Dragonlord, would have to follow. References to Morollan's memories here are pretty much restricted to comments on his ability to remember the "guidebook" that he had to memorize before setting out. Nothing to do with a previous trip through the Paths. Oh, and on a tangent here - After this latest re-read of Taltos it was clear that Vlad and Loiosh knew Sethra was a vampire long before Vlad ever went to Dzur Mountain. The "Boss she's a vampire" comment was more a discussion of motives than any comment on Sethra's appearance. I'll withdraw my theory that Sethra is obviously a vampire to the naked eye at that point, other than her pallor and such.
