The intro to Dzurlord, which, though disavowed by Steve as canonical, does
have some useful bits of info, describes jhegaala thus:
"The jhegaala lives in swamps, and starts as an egg, becomes a large moth,
and then a very large toad, passing through a few other stages in between.
The House represents metamorphosis."

While the details may be later amended, clearly Steve envisioned jhegaala as
having multiple forms, one of which is winged.
