A possible past-life-soul memory as a Dzurlord???

On the assumption that most people wouldn't want to pretend that they
just got turned into a teckla. nor that Dragaeran authors usually kill
off their heroes that way - does that passage mean that there's been a
Dzurlord who has managed to win against Sethra (history) [1]?  Or is it
simply the usual way Dragaeran authors show their (fictional) Dzurlord
as being the Greatest Dzur Hero Ever!?

[1] Ie, is Sethra the kind of undead that you can only manage to kill
for a short time before they reform, and her 'merging with the stone of
Dzur Mountain' isn't quite as voluntary as I'd been thinking?
