I think perhaps youre both right on this one. Paarfi's knowledge must be sketchy at best, even for an accomplished author, especailly in a subject like eastern witchcraft where even the most forgiving of persons looks down on easterners in general, and I believe Morrolan's idea of a soul mate would be different than that of the Warlock's. However I just had a thought I'm not sure makes sense, Morrolan was raised as an easterner and the warlock is one, so wouldn't it be a safe assumption that they would have similar beliefs on the subject, due to similar backrounds? Christine As a Dragaeran, I'd assume Paarfi's knowledge of witchcraft is incomplete, at best, thus resulting in the confusion on the subject. Even if he's researched the subject for his books, how many resources are there for a respectable Dragaeran to turn to to learn about witchcraft? Also, is there any mention of Verra being Morollan's soul-mate outside of the Paarfi books? I don't recall one, but that doesn't mean it's not there...
