That's definately on the 'things to do' list - there's probably a good page on Wikipedia; I might just link to that one. I also need to add a 'stub' template and a 'spoiler' template. Your Easterner article is a good stub. Re: your example - no, it's not necessary to inform the previous author/s when one makes a change. The idea of wikis is not to have a single page 'owner'. However, if you want to keep track of changes on a page you started, you can sign up for a user account and add the page to your watch list.
