To the right: Vlad does, indeed, imply to Savn that the chanting/herbs 
technique is very similar to witchcraft.

To the left: The treatments given to Vlad by Wag, Savn, and Polyi to 
combat his fever is done while he is wearing his Black Phoenix Stone, 
which would presumably block witchcraft performed to his person. (A fact 
that Vlad conveniently forgets to mention...)

So, really, who can say?
