DDB-- Thank you for clearing that up for me. I've just started re-reading the Taltos canon, starting with Taltos. (Yes, I know Steve thinks one should start with Jhereg. :-P ) It's fun to have the backstory from Paarfi's work. That's what I love about this stuff--there's enough tangled cross-referents to keep us going from now until the Cycle fails. Cheers! Mia
