Yes, I was aware of the Overcast, although I've always had trouble picturing it. Sometimes I see it as a perpetual orange haze, but I've never really thought about the source of it, which is what I thought you meant by being aware of the Overcast. I thought I had missed something incredibly obvious to everyone else, so I checked out RASFW. After going through a few messages, I found that the explanation I liked the most is that the Overcast is a by-product of magical energies expended. Magical pollution.
